Pitch maintenance

Football and Rugby pitch maintenance.

To ensure that sports pitches remain in a good condition and fit for purpose it is vital that a pitch maintenance program is in place. Post match work such as replacing any divots, leveling uneven ground, and replacing areas of bare earth play are an important part of the ongoing maintenance programe.
In addition goalmouths and centre circles may need to be reseeded or have more extensive turf replacement work carried out.
Drag matting, brushing, and harrowing pitches after matches will help restore the playing surface and help stand the grass up.
Ensuring the turf has a good supply of nutrients for healthy growth, and when conditions allow aerating the soil to help water drainage from the surface will ensure the pitch remains in good condition and up to the standard required.
